Will these work?
This 1.5" eccentric offset toe-peg is designed to be used with your stock gear pedal to allow for a greater range of adjustment.
This toe peg features a toe lever (the part your foot actually touches) that is more than 2 inches long. For this reason, this part is probably better suited to commuter or touring uses.
This toe-peg is a great companion piece to the Knight Design Crosstrax Lowering Footpegs Kit

Another possibility?

More than double the adjustable range of the stock toe piece. Great for increased comfort, racing rearsets or lowered footpeg applications.

I have the Knight Design toe pegs (and lowering foot pegs). They work great, but they do scuff up the top of one's left boot.

Thanks Jeff, the Russell showed up today (winter here). Come March I'm going to look into Knight Designs, should add even more comfort. Over 60 now and the legs/ feet ain't what they used to be.

get some good heat shrink

I need to buy some of those for my shifter and brake pedal.
While you're at it put some 1800 Goldwing pegs on it, makes it really a more comfortable bike.

The only downsides to the Knight Design lowering foot pegs (not toe pegs) are:
- They really do lower the foot pegs, so much so that one cannot corner as aggressively with them installed;
- They have no rubber vibration dampers (so wear rubber-soled boots); and
- The side stand hits and vibrates against the underside of the left foot peg.
They are more comfortable, though!

CR, if you get a chance, post a pic of the seat on your bike. I'm curious to see what a Russell looks like on a Norge --

Put on the EU side stand, and problem solved.

I actually prefer the USA side stand to the EU side stand. I prefer the larger foot and the greater lean angle for more stability when parked out on the farm (gravel if I am lucky; if not, grass, dirt, or mud...).
The solution seems simple, I just haven't tried it yet: a U-shaped rubber block stuck onto the thin bit of metal on the side stand that strikes the metal stop near the hinge.
Right now, I do not have the Knight Design bits installed, so no need to fiddle with rubber blocks just yet.
-
The problem even with the rubber stop is you will still get some vibrations...dampen ed yes, but still somewhat noticeable that takes away the smoothness of the ride.
The Goldwing pegs are excellent...wider, flatter and slightly lower...really does the trick. My Knight designs got installed and then removed after not being able to get a satisfactory solution...they are nice quality, but the side stand design just doesn't work with them and I don't want to shave off more of the bottom foot pad of the side stand.

Which Goldwing pegs would fit the Norge? Is there a certain year or model?
Thanks for any info.

Credits for this tip to Tom Nova here on the board, I put these on my Norge, he had them on his Sport. You'll also have to buy the Goldwing Springs to attach these, but no modifications are needed, just that they are slightly different than the Norge ones...I'll see if I can find where I bought those from.

Yep, that's them. You won't regret putting them on.
I had a set in a box for a few years and used the adjustable ones. Sure glad I changed to the Goldwing pegs.

Put the goldwing pegs on my 2012 as well. Also the goldwing springs. Gains some needed knee room and it's nice wide peg.
I have been using a round 3M adhesive rubber block at the pivot point on the sidestand. It has lasted several months. It completely keeps the sidestand from touching the peg, so no vibrations at all. I stuck the adhesive rubber block on there thinking it would be a temporary fix, but it has lasted quite a while. I was thinking of putting a radiator hose clamp around the sidestand near the pivot point, and using the screw mechanism as the new "bump" to hold the sidestand away from the peg, but I haven't tried that yet --

So, these Goldwing foot pegs are actually lower than the Norge foot pegs? I'll have to give them a try!
Will the Norge springs not work with the Goldwing foot pegs?

Hey Jeff...the Goldwing pegs are about 1/2 inch thinner, and since they are wider, a bit more comfortable as well. You do have to get the Gold Wing springs, the Norge ones won't work...slightly different size/design. Springs are cheap....easy to source.
-
Yes- the Goldwing pegs are a little lower, I would say by about 3/4 of an inch, mostly due to having thinner rubber on them, but also set a little lower.
No, the Norge springs won't work, you will need to get the goldwing footpeg springs, (I found them at an online Honda parts shop @ $3.00 each), because the goldwing pegs use a right hand and a left hand spring, whereas the Norge right and left spring are identical. I have the packaging at home with the parts numbers for the springs I can give you if you can't find them -- I know this because I ordered 2 right hand springs not knowing the left side was different. I'd be glad to send you my extra right hand spring to you if you think you can use it --
-
Thanks, guys! I will look into this. The Knight Design lowering foot pegs are great, but it would be nice to have rubber tops and not have the left one interfere with the side stand.
-
Why not look for the Breva 1100 footpegs? I think these are the same as the Norge ones, except 1 cm less thick. I read that the Norge got thicker pegs to eliminate vibes, which I do not understand since neither (Breva or Norge) got any bad vibrations.
I've been thinking of swapping the Norge pegs with those of the Breva. Getting older, cramped legs or knees become a nuisance.

Maybe I'll try these along with GL1800 Driver foot pegs?

That's interesting...a little hard to tell from the picture but are those pushing the pegs out away from the body a bit? The only issue there might be "alignment" of the boot with the shifter/brake pedals...but if they work, looks like they'd add some extra clearance for the knees.

May have to find longer shift/ brake toe pegs?

I'd suggest that you try just the Goldwing pegs first.
