Title: VW/winnebagao Rialta non guzzi content
Post by: hooah54 on December 18, 2015, 05:20:04 PM
Tuesday week the wife and I flew to Reno Nevada to pick up this vehicle.  It had 41300 miles and had been refurbished in 2012 and still has 2 years on the warranty.  Been researching one for a year.  We had planned to stay an extra day in Reno to sightsee, reunite with an ol army buddy in lake Tahoe and get familiar with the vehicle but the storm predicitions of wind gusts between 70-120 mph forced us to move on.  Did 495 miles to Vegas and stayed at the Santa Fe Station, met with an old teaching friend then pushed on to Winslow Az to take pics then proceeded to Galup NM.   Great Mexican food.  The next two days were 595 miles and 635 miles per day running from the storms with stops in Clinton, OK (not recommended) and a alittle town south of Oxford Mississippi (also not recommended).  The last RON was with my college roommate who never made a day of class...been a bucket list to drive cross country on a bike but this was good.  Tailwinds in Amarillo gave us almost 22mpg at 61 mph and my God the miles of wind farms.  Now we are trying to decide how to trailer which vehicle for the next go round...only 2K towing so I think it will be the MP3 and R1150R.... told the wife that she could follow along in her slingshot

VW T4/Eurovan based and only available with an automatic. I wouldn't own one for that reason. Love my '93 Eurovan 5 spd. though.

Jackson Browne was writing the song and was having trouble. Glenn Frey helped him out and Browne gave the song to him and the Eagles.

congrats on the RV.  I have a toy hauler and it's great for campouts and dragging a bike or two along.

Hope you enjoy yours.

No this paritcular vehicle belonged to a lovely retired lady who is a retired fire marshall and now teaches part time at university...she doesn't seem the burningman type
