Title: Still not winter (pics added 23rd Dec)
Post by: nick949 on December 19, 2015, 02:00:59 PM
A quick 80 mile loop (on a Loop). 0c (32F), Occasional flakes. A little chilly on the fingers, but worth it!

Glad to hear you got out again, Nick.  I made it out in an old car today, but that's not nearly as adventurous!

Have a great Christmas!

Excellent. Gotta ride when you can. Bit icy here, so I didn't ride. But tomorrow promises 40s!

This was December 14th last year - a more normal winter. As you can see, we don't have it yet and the forecast is for more warm weather.

The real temp with wind chill at 40 mph was minus 3 at 32f.  Here's a handy calculator.

I'm heading out now on the Griso to grab a coffee. 30  f   but sunny, looking forward to Christmas eve and 62 f  so says the weather man!

It snowed north and south of me but not a flake at our house. Did a 100 mile ride last week and still commuting to work. Its supposed to be above freezing all week and now they are saying winter may not arrive until February. Love that El Nino.

Nice Nick, amazing weather you are having out east.

Low thirties F yesterday but I got a nice little ride on the scooter. 2 strokes make great winter bikes. Plus I got the groceries.

No winter here on the Gulf Coast either.  Got the Triumph out for 150 miles on Sunday:  fun but pretty windy.  Rainy and 70F now with lots of rain forecast the next week.  Christmas eve should be sunny and dry, so the V7R will get a spin.

Staying at home occasionally might be advantageous. Somewhere between the tractors and home, the right-side tool box fell off.  My own fault - I hadn't bolted it on properly after changing the locks.  I'll be up that way again tomorrow - perhaps I'll find it in a ditch somewhere (although more likely, squashed flat!).
