I am looking to replace the stock shocks. Hagons are the front runner because of price. Ikons next. I really like having adjustable damping on the Ikons, but are almost $100.00 more. Has anyone had experience with Hagons trail shocks? Those are stock length. Or any other brand recommendations?

I put a pair of Hagons on mine and they are better than stock. I gave Dave my weight and told him that I only ride solo so he used a slightly weaker spring on the ones he made for me. They are mounted upside down for clearance at the top.
At first I thought they were too stiff but after a couple hundred miles they softened up a bit. Mine have a spring rate of 23kg/129lb . Sometimes I wish they were a little softer. I mark the rods so I can see how much they compress and they come within 3/8 inch of bottoming out which seemed pretty good so I decided to leave them as they are. The nice thing is that Dave will swap springs with you until you are happy with them.

I'm getting Hagons from Dave Quinn for Christmas
OK so I've already installed them
I weigh 150 lbs so Dave set them up with medium damping a a spring lighter than stock.
they look good with one black spring and a chrome main spring on each unit
the bounce up and down tests indicates the rates are correct
the "trail shocks" mount up without difficulty
I have Hagons on my Triumph and am very satisfied

Those trail shocks look good to me, I have the twin shocks. "driapo" do you know the spring rates on the shocks Dave sent you?
