Anyone out there heard from Mitch Freshour lately? He took a Jackal and changed out the tank and seat fenders ect and made a really cool sport out of it , I can't locate an image that I had on file and was trying to touch base with him in order to replicate a similar bike .

Do you have his user name here?
I may know who you're talking about...
-
The name Jackal / LeMans throws me but this was a very cool build... I cannot find a still photo of it though.

And before that one there was this gorgeous conversion...

Anyway, this is the one I was thinking of but the name you mentioned does not ring a bell...

Mitch was the rider that held the LSR record at Bonneville. It was a collaborative effort by the MGCL, before WG..

Ahh, I recall the list and I was a member however, I do not recall the name or the build... I'll just get me hat then...
Thanks Chuck.

This bike was built and shown here by the member named Guzziscoot. Lives outside New Orleans, it was a 2000 Jackal that was beautifully, heavily modified. He and I corresponded at length about me buying the bike, which was for sale at the time, but it got away from me and went to a buyer in NY, as I recollect. If you look back thru his previous there is a lot of build info and photos. Wish I had moved sooner, it was a beauty, and priced nice too!

If we're talking about the same bike and builder, here's a link to a lot more info and pics, that were posted back in July, 2011. Looks like the seller's still active here.

Wish my EV looked like that. Maybe a different color.

I too wish I had acted on it Steve, what a gorgeous job. I have a Jackal that I could do that to but who knows if I can ever get around to it...
Best,

Yeah, it's a nice piece of work.. oops, no emoticons again..

Mitch had this bike at the New Cumberland Rally at least once. I recall it was red and white similar to a Breva Sport. Maybe Ed Milich keeps in touch. I have ridden with both of them at the WV Rally when Ed was still in school and also did a track day with Mitch at Mid Ohio where he rode his 1100 Sport.

Anybody have any pictures of the race bike? I donated some parts to it way back when....

I believe this is a much better looking bike than mine. I like the color choices. Riding may be a different subject though.

Thanks for bringing this thread back to the top, it's
exactly the inspiration I need. I've been trying to figure
out how and what to replace my R1150R with as there
isn't much out there that appeals to me and is also within
a reasonable budget. I was told you could do this and
seeing the results of your efforts has made the decision
a no brainer.
Thank you - I now know how to get exactly the bike
I wanted.
Cheers Maurie.

I have an autographed picture (ain't I special) from Mitch with the bike and the Guzzi balloon in the background. It's in Indiana, though. I'll probably forget about it by the time I get back. Bump me and I'll figure out a way to post it.

Thanks Chuck. ..I remember that picture.

Well, unfortunately a bit late to the party, but that would be a 2011 photo of the namesake bike that this thread was originally started for! I realize it is an old thread, but for anyone that may happen to stumble across it, now it is more complete!
