I would like to replace the sparkplug wires and caps. What is the length and what type connectors go on the coil ends? I am planning on using non-resistor wire and caps, with squeeze on type terminals on caps. Don't care for the screw on, found the left one slightly loose at a service, was not impressed.

Electronic ignition and tach?
You may need to use resister caps
Probably5000 ohm

Why? To the best of my knowledge, resistor plugs, etc. are for RF suppression so as not to 'buzz' car radios. Since the vast majority listen to FM not AM, that should not be a problem.?

I believe the recommended combination is ANY TWO OF resistor plug, resistor caps & resistor wire. Not all three. Those who know why can chime in, please. My previous guru on this is no longer with us.

That sounds reasonable, it's standard to have a suppressor these days, to leave it out altogether may overload the coils.

my 85 BMW R80 came with resister caps
when I "upgraded" I replaced them with non resister caps and the tach went nuts
I installed 5000 ohm NGK caps and everything returned to normal
I don't know why but some electronic systems require resisters
