Title: ev11 tank mounted crooked
Post by: oranges3 on January 12, 2016, 06:47:32 PM
i just noticed that he fuel tank on my ev11 is mounted crooked...
looks like in the front, the LH side is mounted a little higher than the RH.
it looks like the fuel presure reg is keeping the LH side a little higher than the RH...
or is the RH side too low?

Lift back of tank and see if the little drain hose that hooks to the nipple in center of tank is routed wrong.
If it lays over the airbox it may be the culprit. Run it up the left side of airbox then hook to tank nipple.
It could be lifting the tank a bit because there is very little room between tank and airbox when tank is down,

I don't know the official name of them but on my 98 there are two rubber washers on the frame that the tank sets on when seated. It's very noticeable though if one slips off when seating the tank.

This was gonna be my guess.

This happened on my 03 Stone Touring.  I raised the rubber "bung" 1/8" and the tank returned to its proper position.
