This information would be very useful from the point of view of preventative maintenance, but doesn't seem to exist.
I know that the rims are anodized aluminum.
But I don't know what the spokes on the Special and Racer are made of.
I know that there's a lot of aluminum elsewhere on these bikes, but not whether it is all anodized.
I also don't know what kinds of metal are being used in other metal components.
Also, don't know what kind of plastics are being used.
Has anyone taken a magnet over one of these bikes to determine what components attract and what don't?

By the way, I'm probably going to add a Dart Marlin screen. Apparently, it's polycarbonate. As anyone who uses polycarbonate eyeglasses (a very high percentage of eyeglass wearers), or shooting glasses, or helmet visors, knows, polycarbonate is pretty impact resistant, but also susceptible to scratches.

As I read Makrolon's guidance, there are some pretty expensive plastic "cleaner/polisher" products that, despite their popularity in the motorcycle community, I would not be in a hurry to use.

The "13-"15 V7's had "chrome" mirrors, identical left and right, supplied by two different manufacturers, and two different part numbers are listed in the parts book. They look identical, but one has a metal back and the other has a plastic back. Go figure.
