Thought maybe we could have a little fun here and have a nice collection of photos, maybe even candidates for a Calendar if we get enough submissions and focus less on the shortcomings of MG and see our babies out doing what they do best!
Kindly post up your best Adventure Moto Photo...the only unique criterion is that the photo must have been taken at least 250 miles from your home!
Add location, time of year and maybe a short snippet of the trip if you like or other tidbit of information about the photo or event that took you there.
If it's a place where the GPS coordinates are too precious to share, then perhaps a rough idea of where it's at would be good:
Multiple entries encouraged...the more the merrier!

Here's the 1st one that comes to mind. I have to give credit to rocker59 (he took the picture) this is above Cripple Creek, Colorado last summer.

This photo was taken in 2003 in SW Colorado. Had a great ride from Hays, KS to Moab, UT. It was a great trip as it was both our first bike ride in the Colorado Rockies and the weather was amazing. We hit one small area of showers in SW KS which just pleasantly cooled us off and never had to put on a jacket the whole trip including in the passes.

Not a Guzzi, but they don't make one to go here. A Quota could do some of this, but most of it not.

What's with the THREE different mirrors?
The bike came with 2 of the CRG-type bar ends, but I found I've gone off the convex view & it's far away images, so I put the Napoleon on the left bar. Then I tried the Napoleon Barren on the right mirror hole. That's good, but not enough blind spot coverage for city traffic, so left the CRG on the right bar. then that Barren's ball started moving in the breeze, so I'm testing something better-made.

I think adventure is what you make it - and does not have to involve dirt. Last summer, over 4th of July, my family went to Mammoth Lakes, CA. I had a solo Guzzi adventure almost every morning while they were sleeping in. Other family members brought dirt bikes and we had some group adventures in the woods. A road trip with the family, the dog, the trailer, some bikes, etc. is an adventure in itself.

I don't know jack about photography, but I was so pleased with this shot, taken as we left Glacier National Park in late summer of 2011, with a cheapie Canon point and shoot. Like someone once said, 'the best camera you own is the one you have with you.'
As with my last post in this thread, no bike photo. Almost seemed like it would ruin the loveliness of the natural beauty of the place. (actually, I couldn't find a good place to park and get the 1200 Sport into the shot!)

One more. We both had larger bikes, but decided to do a Britbike ride. Pic was taken in late spring 2006. We'd left Las Vegas NM and were on our way toward Taos. The 2001 and 2003 Bonnies were exceptional bikes on this trip. Sorry NGC, but at the time, I was 4 years away from my first big block.

Excerpt from journal:
6-11-03
Left Canon City on a severe clear morning, headed for Pike's Peak. Passed wussy cars on the winding dirt road. Real Women don’t need no stinkin' guard rails.. Dorcia hung out the sidecar and took pix. Pretty tame compared to 550. Cold at the top, 14110, hard to breathe. Maybe I’m just getting old.. Sitting on top of the world. Spectacular view. Again. A Scottsman said we were very brave, everyone he'd known that had tried a sidecar had been killed.. Wound our way down, and stopped at a cafĂ© for Bob. Vacation’s officially over, now. We just have to drone across Kansas, etc. to get home. Made Goodland, Ks this evening.

Gonna cheat on this one. I haven't posted any pics here with a Guzzi in it, although the pics easily met the '250 mile from home' rule. This one doesn't, but I've always liked this pic of my 1200 Sport on this lovely two lane road, with the little church and kirk yard in Paoli Ohio visible in the background. One lovely late October day!

Jon, sorry it has taken me a bit to get back to this thread. And yes, on Wayah Road. So many spots I just wanted to sit and listen to the whitewater. Very nice.
