Republic of Texas (ROT) Rally

9 - 12 June.

Like a weekend Daytona / Sturgis but raunchy.  Recommend going to Lockhart for BBQ and San Antonio for Mexican Food and everything else (if it ain't too hot).

Don't forget Three Sisters ride in the Hill Country.

Bluffs,  Groves, Vale can't keep em straight.  Iowa?, Kansas?
I'm geographically challenged about anything located North of Dallas.

He should just visit Texas instead.

It's an Island right?

Blacks?       Yum!

That's right...rendezvous at Blacks...Sunday at noon 30.  Come on down!!

Planning a little circuitous route - on the way out probably we go thru La Grange to visit ZZ Top's hometown and then on the way back we drop down to Shiner and get some beer from the factory to take with us, a brief stretch in Schulenberg and then old Hwy 90 back towards town perhaps...

We could make it such, but we'd have to take out a few bridges first!

Lafitte's treasure...that sounds like the makings of a Guzzi Road Rally Scavenger hunt!

LowRyter pretty much nailed it.  Main event is in a big cattle show ring (not kidding).  There's a parade on Friday night downtown if you are into seeing miles and miles of Harleys. The venue itself leaves a lot to be desired.

IMHO unless you are part of the Harley crowd there are a Hell of a lot better things to do in Central Texas that time of year, especially if you like to ride.
