Just in from our Cajun Brothers in LA.
Nice wooded campground. Good food and camaraderie. Full service bar.
Come pass a good time with us at the Valhalla Motorcycle Campground in Homer, Louisiana. Will be kick'en tires and tell'en lies in the beautiful piney woods of North Louisiana. Camping is FREE! But you must buy your adult beverages from the Valhalla Bar that is located on the premises, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON PREMISES. Special package prices for beer and liqueur will be available for camp-side consumption. The famous Moons BBQ will be delivering BBQ ribs for supper on Friday night and Big beautiful rib eye steaks with all the fixings on Saturday night. Each meal will cost $15. You must pre order your meals by April 13. Please make checks out to David Munnerlyn Jr. Please write on the check which night or both you will be paying for. Send checks to: 100 Caladium Court, Lafayette Louisiana 70508. You are responsible for all of your other meals at the rally. Valhalla Motorcycle Campground offers lots of open or shaded camping with two showers and a group campfire area. (That's where all that kick'en tires and tell'en lies takes place.) The bar has a large covered pavilion overlooking a fishing pond. Valhalla Motorcycle Campground is located at: 3000 Dutchtown Road, Homer, Louisiana 71040. Check them out at: WWW.Valhalla-MC.com. For more info contact Louisiana Rep. David Munnerlyn Jr. at: 337-298-9481 or email me at: laf.guzzidave@yahoo.com), 'Laissez les bon temps rouler!'

Can't help with hotel recemendation as I always camp. Homer LA is pretty small. Minden LA is near and much larger. You might call Valhalla (Rally Site) and ask Curtis, the owner, PM Sickbay987 on this
forum, or check with guzzidave. All extremely are acommodating folks.

The Linder Motor Lodge is about the only choice you have in Homer. Located about 3 miles NE of the rally site.

Rick Johnson is a BMW rider from Texas that I met at a Fools on the Hill gathering 3-4 years ago. He and his friend Bob (I think is his name) were also at David's Daisy State Park's camp out a couple of summers ago. Both all around good guys. This month he and Bob went on a MotoDiscovery motorcycle tour of Cuba and plans to be at Homer in April. Time to drag up a chair and a 6-pack and hear his stories. Here is a short video of their trip. Hope to do that in the near future. https://youtu.be/bep6BiKmDfE (https://youtu.be/bep6BiKmDfE)

Well, we did have up to 24" of rain over 3-4 days last month. Already about 7 to 10" this month including 5" last Monday and 1" this morning. So who knows, maybe no moat but local flooding in places. Weather forecast for a beautiful, rain free weekend though. Should be rolling in about noon Friday.
