THE CLAN SPEAKS OUT: A LOOK AT OUR SURVEY RESULTS
When it comes to summing up, however, nothing is more reliable than your personal opinions. For this reason we decided to ask you directly what sensations this year has left you with. We conducted this examination using a tailor-made survey, and here’s what you answered.
Like-mindedness
The voice of The Clan is also your voice. That’s why you follow us, support us and believe in us. You feel part of the community, because you see your own values reflected in ours: freedom, group spirit, authenticity, quality.
Guzzi enthusiasts to the core
The majority of you are passionate travellers: true bikers who never miss the chance to escape on top of their Guzzi motorbike for a weekend, and who don’t despise the help of technology for a breath-taking travel experience. Moreover, over half of the members took part in the Mandello Open House event and believe that it should be organised again. A true community of pure and strong members!
Always up to date
Among the aspects you found most useful about the community were the news, updates and discounts, which you appreciated greatly, suggesting some very interesting ideas too. As we imagined, you like being in the know as to what is happening in the Moto Guzzi world. And we will do our best to satisfy you.
A regular occasion
60% of you visit the community regularly to stock up on news regarding events, promotions and updates from Moto Guzzi. As far as our data is concerned, you believe us to be a reliable source: approximately 77% of the users would recommend becoming a member of the community to a friend. Keep up the great work!
Room for improvement
The most important thing for the community is your point of view. For this reason we asked you directly how you think the platform could be improved. You answered that you would like to receive even more reports from Moto Guzzi events, participate in ad hoc initiatives for the community and, in general, read more in-depth content, which you believe to be interesting and engaging. By popular demand a calendar of gatherings has been proposed, but also a dedicated space for your journeys, tours and experiences. Why not start thinking right now about content that we could create together? The official community video of The Clan could be a great starting point.
A real community
79% of proud owners would like the have the possibility to contact other users. This means that your desire to experience The Clan goes beyond updates and news, rather it is an urge to share your Guzzi pride in the real world. In light of this, we will do our best to connect you and to take your experience of the community from the digital world to the real world.
A plethora of ideas
In conclusion, the most surprising revelation of the survey: it appears that working with Moto Guzzi is the most longed-for hobby in the world, because 70% of you would like to work with us suggesting news and interesting initiatives for the community. It would be extraordinary if we could satisfy all of you!
Thank you for taking part in our survey; we couldn’t think of a better way of starting 2016. In the meantime, we’re already working on transforming your ideas into reality.
My The Clan, My Pride!

Sorry. Just can't be part of any group named The Clan. Please tell me that's a bad translation

This report is mindful of the "Monty Burns award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence"

The Contradiction is strong in this one!
How about concentrating on making a bike I might actually want to buy instead of fat slow cruisers, yes I've ridden 1400 heavy and slow was the dominating experince.

<sigh>

Chad did you join the clan?
-
It does seem to strengthen the case that Piaggio wants Guzzi to be the Italian Motor Company, plain and simple.
At least the old models are still in good supply!
-
"The Clan," it's no mis-translation. I guess American Political Correctness doesn't extend to every part of the world. The term is used freely in places like Scotland and Ireland.

H-D has the HOG group, Triumph has the RAT group. Now Guzzi has The CLAN!
-
They said Clan, not Klan, so I don't see a problem.
-
I certainly didn't think of that connection, what is really offensive is Piaggio marketing types think this kind of bull!@#$ flies with Guzzi owners. If we were drawn into that kind of rubbish it would be highly unlikely we would actually own Guzzi's, there are a couple of other manufactures that peddle this sort of thing vastly more effectively. Hog actually started back in the day from their racing program so if you really want people to get behind something how about go racing, of course you'll have to build something that is actually worth racing.
-
Yes I am Jim. Relax Murray. They don't think this kind of marketing is going to fly with most of us, but we already ride Guzzi, and they know the majority of us here, are not going to buy a new Guzzi period! They are trying to gain NEW buyers, those who now ride other brands. Many of those riders may appreciate this sort of blather. Whether it is successful or not, will be determined in the market place.

What and not do my favourite hobby of pulling the piss out marketing types that like to think they know how the world works. When in actual fact they really have their heads inserted so far up their own rears they haven't seen the light of day for a number of years.

The move to the cruisers and the bad-boy image is fully understandable since so much of the market is there.
Maybe the talk of no more sporty Guzzi models is valid. No doubt that Piaggio covers that segment with the Aprilia line.
-
Yea, join the Clan, that makes you "Not the Problem"

I think only in the US in Aust the motor company is lucky if it has about 8% of the market but I guess with Guzzi been so tiny a small percentage of the US would be a great improvement.

Yeah, I mean.. words fail me. Such a storied history ending up like this.

I would really appreciate a better understanding of the EU, AU, and Asian markets with regards to type/size sales figures.
In the US Harley is about 50% and "Cruisers" from other brands a not insignificant portion of the rest. And for many years sportbikes held a large share of the balance.
Now I know Harleys often sell for a premium in export markets, so I'm sure that doesn't help their share, but how about the rest of the brands. Any reports from people in those markets?

I thought it was the clam..waiting on the calamari grouping.
