Title: Resist the temptaion.
Post by: BigDave in PA on February 22, 2016, 09:03:40 PM
Six weeks ago today I had a fusion at C4-C5 and a disc replacement at C3-C4. I was done with my neck brace on Friday 02/12 and was given the green light to drive. I am not ready to ride yet and I won't take that chance but these warm days have me wanting. To make matters worse I just got my Corbin seat back from getting it re-done. I bought the seat in '97 and put 50k miles on it while I had my '95 Cali. I then transferred the seat to my '01 EV when I got that and put another 100k on the seat. Now it's all new again and is tempting me just like the weather. I know better than to take the risk and will just have to wait it out for a couple weeks yet.

Be strong. In the long run you will be very glad that you did. Get in virtual saddle time here on the Wild Goose! I hope that your recovery goes well.

Get well.     I'll be watching for you at the Lawn and Ephrata breakfasts in May (I can't make the April Ephrata one).

Dave, Take it slow and let everything heal up. One little screw up could set you back a long ways.

What the wise old guy says. I did too early a ride after an L5 and took a bad shot that I don't think I've ever recovered from. Up high where yours is would be devastating. My biggest fear is neck surgery as it becomes more like a pile of rocks and gravel.
