It's been cleaned, sealed, insulated, and painted. There are new shelves, cabinets, AC, heat, and lights. I can now get any of our three bikes out of the door without moving the others first. What a luxury! Next up: I'll be tackling the wood shop...

Very nice!
I hope some day to have a shop. Ideally, it would have enough room to allow parking all of our motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles and still provide good room for woodworking, etc. Oh, and it probably should be some distance from the house, in a separate building, to make it more difficult for someone to use it as a storage unit.

What's that in the middle under the bikes??
A floor?? Why isn't there anything on it, like half full/empty bottles/cans of stuff, old rags, new rags, paper towels, tools, plastic tarps, bungee cords, sprockets, lockets and keys?
(love it, whish I had it) Tom

New & Improved. ???
Remember what George Carlin said about that? Kind of like 'intermediate destination'.
-
With apologies to George: some parts are new and some just improved...
But I do agree with the "Jumbo Shrimp" assertion.

Looks like a great place to spend a lot of time in!

I have a shop that isn't nearly that neat! I had to put it in a barn and I have AC, but no good heat Solution yet.. flames are an issue & not well insulated enough to use electric. Of course, when the house refrigerator went out we stuck it in the shop "temporarily" so I have to move a fridge to get to the floor jack!
Congratulations on a great job! :thumb:

Nice shop! It looks like there are plenty of hooks to hang the suspenders.

The ceiling is empty. I put shelves up there. Otherwise do a big project and you probly won't recognize it but that's just part of the fun!

It was formerly a tack room. The floor is stained like crazy, but it's clean and level. Here's how it looked before the update:

Wow! add a hammock and a fridge and a man could live there... :thumb: Very nice!
-
A Hammock - now there's a thought!
Mines up for replacement - roof's half rusted out, doors
rusted off years ago, leans a bit in the wind - had some
Americans stationed near by during the WW2, they used
it as a stable for some horses back then.
Now I feel inadequate - thanks. :thumb:

Sheepdog .... very nice! Your pic forced me out into my cold garage for just a moment to quickly inventory what I need to do to get mine in decent shape. Depressing! But you've given me some inspiration. Thanks! Maybe this spring.

With those CMU walls, the shop doubles as a tornado shelter. The hammock is on the porch of our guest cabin across the driveway...
