Title: License plate bulb for Norge
Post by: ITSec on February 25, 2016, 01:03:19 PM
I just noticed mine needs replacement, so I dragged out the manuals to check what it needs before I start tearing apart the tail. Reading the manuals leaves me puzzled, though - in one section, it says this is an LED bulb and needs dealer replacement, but in the tech data section at the back, it shows it simply as a 12v 5w accessory bulb similar to the listing for some others I've replaced (which were standard bulbs).

Anybody had to deal with this, and if so what did you find?

Ah, I think this is one of those special engineering features, where the nuts that you need to access are hidden inside the tail section. I could be wrong, but I think to gain access to them, you need to drop the rear fender!

I paid Moto International to remove the license plate light extension on my Norge (and I removed the other extraneous rear end bits, reflectors, and brackets) apparently mandated by the U.S. and China (but no one else). To do this, they had to drop my rear fender.
