Looks great in the first three photos, WTF with the last two? Scam? If it is as it appears I wish I had the mechanical abilities to deal with one.

I think he is inferring that if you buy his beautiful Lario you could turn it into a big-block abomination as per his last two pics.

It is a little unusual that someone would say it's all original and beautiful, and then say it would make a killer cafe project.

Moro Guzzi?

It's a lovely original bike...

...but a guy's gotta do what he needs to when it's time to sell. If it's worth more in original condition than as a project platform, then someone will step up. I've got all the bike-saving I can handle at the moment.

If it were not in Canada I'd consider it for a Cafe project

.
...
.
..
.

because:

I really like the look of the Lario (particularly in red)

Id start by swapping the plastic bits with my plastic tanked V7 along with the rear sets.
get some new clip ons for V7 to match its new clothes.

Next:
I need to do a few miles on the Lario to see how I like the linked brakes and how the braking compares to the single bremo on the V7.
I like the even look of twin disks. thats the next project.
After realizing its not that easy to do the swap:
lario will get its bits back, wont spend a lot of effort sorting it out because wont be planning on riding it once have the body work on V7.

Oh anything else I want?

I'll have to take the heads off them being 4v to see if I have any use for them?
after deciding that they cant easily be swapped over, reading about valve failures and deciding the solution has not been aplied and its too much effort for me to do i'll hastily put them back where I found them, no need for new gaskets or anything.

Finally an Ad on Craigslist praising the Lario with some BS about a prevous owner who spent thousands on converting a lario to a v7 because it has superior 4v engine not even bettered by latest v7ii. Add the obligatory reluctant sale due to ill health and let the wife deal with any potential buyers telling them Im in hospital having my kidneys removed.

No seriously, a nice occasional use bike for ocasional use that should not be messed about with

and how many cafe racer / bobbers are result of borrowing bits from other bikes or crash repaired bikes?

regarding the Ad: Might be a good buy as it seems the advertiser does not like the way the bike looks but rates the mechanicals. It's usually the other way, whats with the weld on the swing arm though?

If it has 44000 miles, that's the highest mileage Lario I've heard of. Swing arm's been welded where it's hit the frame for whatever reason. New V65 stickers on the side covers.
Pictures can make a bike look better than it is. I'm thinking it's a pig with lipstick, personally.
Kip had a *really* nice Lario that he tried to get $2500 for a really long time. Just sayin.

The LeMans IV is just a 5/4 scale version of the Lario. If you like the Lario, an LM4 will give you the same styling without the hassle of the Lario valve train.
