Anyone ever fitted them?
I noticed today I have screw threads for them.
Grinding my pegs cornering is not something I'm particularly inclined to do but thought if I fitted some sparklers I could get a feel for what kind of lean angle I can safely go for in a relatively safe way and without scraping my pegs up finding out.
P.s Will a couple of bolts do, maybe put a couple of nuts on them and rould the heads off a bit?

Why not? Hey, just an idea. It would not spark beautifully, but a nylon bolt would wear easily and the threat of unloading your tyres would be minimized.

Another idea : have some Ferrocerium rod threaded to the proper spec- that would be a light show!

OHHHHH! Pretty shiny sparkles!
Can that be threaded? If not: Duct Tape!

Apparently so.....can you make 1/4" or 3/16" work?

I have bar stock titanium that I could use to make some really cool feelers. They would throw GREAT sparkies. Yes, I am that immature

Thanks I was thinking what I could use and was leaning towards plastic although I wonder if plastic would just snap at the slightest contact. Only way to find out is to try, I dont want to unload my tyres.
Its about feeling the limits of my bike without scratching my pegs or side stand and also checking if lower pegs might be an option as to not cramp up my knees and ankles quits so much. I dont imagine leaving something on the bike that will scrape on every bend. If I do leave them on the bike Id keep short enough just to protect pegs and side stand.

I called these things 'peg sparklers' I dont know if thats the correct name 'curb feelers' seems to be the wrong name as its not the curb but the road being felt for.
