No idea at all, but I have more of them than you do. I hope they are not something derogatory!
-
Cool. I thought it may represent how many of my teeth people want to knock out.
-
I bought mine on the black...yellow...ma rket.
-
I thought they indicated how many teeth you have :azn:
-
How many deckades you've been wearing red suspenders?

I'm guessing suspenders means something different in your world to what it means in mine. I hope so, anyway.

Ahh, I believe you would call them braces..
-
One square for every 100 folks who have put you on their "ignore" list?
-
You guys with 5 squares are just being greedy.
-

Or as my grandfather called them "Galluses" but then he was a A&M man (as in Aggie).
:-)
-
I never noticed those.... now that's all I can see!

Dang! You have ESP.

From a post made to answer a similar question on the Simple Machines forum (this board runs Simple Machines software):
The colour of the square is attached to the group the user is in.
For instance on this forum, you've made 1 post. On a default installation, 1 post puts you in to the Newbie group (less than 10 posts I think it is, could be wrong), and that's one yellow pip. Higher groups have more pips.
On a default installation, 5 red pips for administrator, 5 blue pips for global moderator, 5 green pips for board moderator and 1-5 yellow pips for post counts.
This is all configurable in the admin panel; here for example my badge (SMF Friend) is configured through exactly the same system attached to my group (SMF Friend)

If a black square shows up you know you're on the moderators $&@? List!

Meh , I lurk on that site occasionally , get a kick out of the fact that the recent thread attacking me had more replies than an other recent topic . Glad to give them something to discuss

Well, I'll tellya what. I had very few of those little yellow squares and then I did, suddenly. And that very night I was abducted by UFO aliens whose vehicle looked amazingly like a Tatra 815 10X10. Just sayin'.
-
I figure they are just a measure of how opinionated I have become, measured by counting posts.
It has taken me 13 years' maybe 14, to get that opinionated on this site. I have even had to re-register
a number of times because of system crashes. Once I was the first one to re - register but the system crashed again in about a day and I was way down the line when I finally got back on.
-
It would be nice if they had little square pants
-
If it is a measure of one's remaining teeth (tooth) than it is accurate!

So no one knows then..

Well Actually, they are yellow squares in the southern hemisphere and red squares in the northern hemisphere.

What???? Nobody reads the previous posts! What are those yeller squares anyway??? Grilled cheese sammiches?
-
They are bad, they are real bad. Shun the cursed yellow squares!
-
Three of them yeller squares follered me home and howled outside the door.
-
Last week the dog treed a couple. I shot one but was too drunk to hit the other. I heard you could eat 'em but I ain't that hungry
-
I think the only way to make them edible is with Cholula sauce, lots of it.
-
I like mine with grits
-
They'd probably go well with a Gritso.
-
Ok there's a lot of in jokes between the respondents that are over my head, I just didn't know which answers were genuine explanations versus attempts at humor, but anyway thanks, I've got it now.

Honestly. It seems too be just a visual representation of the number of posts you have.
-
Pretty sure ngc are the only posts that are included in the count

Can someone tell me what the little yellow squares next to the name of the poster means ?
These squares yet confound us
Still no reason has found us
If I give shame a name
It's that HUZO I blame
His perplexing is vexing and his query most hexing
Were those dogs yet a sleeping and thoughts less a creeping
I'd sleep sounder nightly, my world just and rightly
Stop, HUZO
Drink booze-o (Yeah, it happens)
Let sleeping dogs snooze-o (what? Again?)
The squares were always there
Effecting no care
Now I can't help but stare
I'm now ever aware
C'mon HUZO who asked you?
What demon has tasked you?
We red binder snappers
We ethernet nappers
Did nothing to hurt you and yet must we curse you
Our shame, now it came
Is yours truly in name
Mayhap cheese squares to blame
And still I exclaim
Must we HUZO defame!.. It's both player and game
Todd.

Now say that 3 times fast AFTER drinking the Ouzo! Yasou!!!
Well I don't have the Ouzo. But I did try to say it three times fast. I went for a bicycle ride this afternoon and remembered to say it just as I crested a hill just north of here and was hopping the chain from the mid to the outer ring. But ack! As I said it three times fast I got my tongue all tangled in the right side Rapid Fire and skipped two cogs and nearly crashed as the expected pedal effort was not as attained. Then I still had to stop, thereby wasting my initial momentum, to untangle. And my tongue still hurts.
Would it have gone better with the Ouzo?
-
Well..see there is the proof that Ouzo and bicycling are not compatible unless the Ouzo is poured on the bike chain to make the derailleur function properly and not derail you in the process!!

Some thread drift!
When hootch is involved - it might be more of a thread draft or thread draw.
Cigars? Thread waft.
Blown out flannels?... Back to draft.
Binders? Thread snap.
Oil? Thread slip.
Todd.

Some thread drift!
I believe it's called " connecting the dots"...

Question then, I prefer a Snell plus DOT rated helmet. Any comments?
-
As long as it's got five little yellow squares on it, you're good.
I'll paint them there.
-
I had to post to see how square I am

Admirably square! And also properly plumb: nicely aligned with gravity!
-
So it seems that 5 yellow squares is all one can earn, while eating 4 Square meals a day...
-
Hmm,
Corn
Cheddar cheese
Lemons
Scrambled eggs
Will that do?
