Title: New Type Reusable B750 Rocker Gaskets
Post by: Muzz on March 07, 2016, 02:13:49 PM
Just a quick question. With the older style gaskets I have always used a light smear of grease on them so that they are able (sometimes) to be used again. With the new black reusable ones is this necessary or do they just separate off without needing to be greased?

Someone must know. :undecided:

Sorry, didn't see this. I just clean off the mating surfaces carefully and stick 'em on dry.

I keep a can of Pam no stick for frying pans in the garage. best tire lube I've found and I spray both sides of gaskets and reuse them a dozen times. before you say I will crash and burn I got the idea from the no-mar tire changer outfit. they sell a small bottle of vegetable oil for many $$$. most likely repackaged Crisco.
