anybody know the correct capacity for the forks either wet or dry. book says see your dealer.

The workshop manual doesn't state the fill volume, instead it states that the fork tubes should be filled to a level 150 mm (Marzocchi) or 120 mm (Kiafa) below the top rim of the fork, with the spring not installed and the fork all the way extended. It also states that after filling partially, you should compress and extend the fork a few times and wait a few minutes to make sure the oil penetrates all the passages, before the final filling. The fork should be exactly vertical when measuring. Good luck!

On the V7C, 150mm air space equated to around 400ml each leg. Can't but think yours would be similar, even though the manufacturer might be different - the 2015 likely has the Kaifa forks. I'm about to confirm that sometime in the next few weeks when I get to the 2014 Special's forks.

i would like to hear what you find. I just plan on sucking them out and refilling with 7.5 or 8 weight oil to start. I also thought about a spacer in the top above the spring. s. Az. roads beat you to death.

Although somewhat daunted by the instructions, I found that removing the forks themselves was quite straightforward. Easy them to empty the oil out, and wash them out as well before refilling. All went back on easily as well. I'll do that again. I also had the opportunity to clean bits that never see the light of day. I'm expecting to find more bullduft from the Flinders in those nooks & crannies of the Special. I'm going to have to wait for the clutch cup to arrive for the Classic, so the fork job might be sooner rather than later. I'll keep you posted.
