Looking at the Joe Rocket Phoenix Ion (Sliver). Never could figure out why those old mesh pants where always BLACK?

My old mesh stuff is long on the tooth - going on 15 years old. Time to upgrade.
Looking at Mesh pants with 8" back zipper?
Have FirstGear TPG Expedition Suit, but thinking it will be a cooker come summer time.
Any thoughts on good riding gear when it's HOT outside?

You'll find out after a few rides.
Black doesn't show dirt and grime.
I have to wash my Olympia hi-viz pretty regularly.
But yeah. The silver should be cooler in the summer. You'll just have to wash it more often.

I have been really happy with Motoport riding gear. My jacket and pants are about 6 years old, been back to Motoport for upgrades. Seldom see a riding gear ( other than Aerostich) offer updates. The ordering process is neat, send your measurements and Wayne will contact you if something doesn't make sense, in place of sending something that won't work.

Most of my stuff is Rev it and I'm very happy with the upgraded quality. I have their mesh pants and they work great. Long inside zipper for easy on and off.

I have an original pair of rocket mesh black pants going back at least 10 years. well built especially for the money. they were too long for my short fat body and you couldn't adjust the knee pads. yes black gets hotter than a light color especially when stopped at a light. but if you have a chain drive bike it doesn't show the mess.
these pants look like a great upgrade I think I will order a pair myself. nice thing is you can wear briefs, regular shorts or pants under them. a rain suit will get you through cold mornings.
I can't say enough about the 10-12 year old JR Phoenix jacket I have. at least 200,000 miles on it and it still looks like new and all zippers work fine. I also saw a lady do a 60 MPH low side down the Blue ridge pky. got up without a scratch and couldn't find a flaw in her JR Phoenix. that sold me.

I have the same vintage one, got 15 years on it and still works as new. I'm thinking the new ones are a lot better with more features?
