Hi
I have got some internal parts from an early 5-speed gearbox, and according to the drawings - most of the parts seems to belong to a TR gearbox.
I need to come in contact with anyone that can confirm my suspicion. I can send you some picture - but I do not know how to present the picture here.
Anyone out there that have that knowledge? Maybe any of you have that special housing and cover for sale?
My TR have the standard ribbed version - that was the best option in 1973. But I would like to build me an un-ribbed version now that I might have some of the internal parts.

This is my first attempt to share pictures.
The picture quality is not as good as I expected it to be, but you might notice that the 5th. gear is not hold in place with a spring and small piston. Instead it is hold in place with a locking ring. Below is also another locking ring (the ring is broken - should be almost 100% circular,)

Rolf, pics aren't appearing. You have to host them on an external site and then link them up. If you can't do this send them to me and I'll do it later. Sorry, there's a lot of *Stuff* going on at the moment so I won't be able to do it for a day or so
Charlie and 'Cannuc750'? Are probably your best resources on this sort of query.

Charles Cole is out of business I am told.
I learn something every day (and that is good).
First I succeeded adding a picture - but it came in twice. Then I cancelled the picture in my photo bucket - and now I see the pictures in Wildguzzi are gone.

I am not sure that Cannuk750 can help since he lives in Canada. I think I need to come into contact with someone in old Europe that might have similar parts.
I thank you for trying to help me.

Charley's website is still up and there are photos of TR gearbox bits on it. I'm not sure if any will be helpful, but have a look.

I have seen the pictures - but cannot find any identical with mine - the closest one is the drawing sheet of the internals.
But even that does not show the second locking ring that mine has.
So the more inputs I get - the better and closer to my target which is a complete TR gearbox.

Hi Rolf
Did you see this V7 transmission case advertised on German Ebay? Claims to be a TR case.

Hi Jim
I did not want to insult you by living in Canada - regarding knowledge of TR gearboxes.
Yes I saw this gearbox-house a few days ago - and that + that I received some odd parts yesterday - got me to think about building me a real TR gearbox.
That house seems to be correct, but I cannot find holes for the screws for the incoming bearing. Maybe it is dirt since I cannot see any holes.
You need also the cover - so bidding on this expensive house without cover and some of the internals, is crazy in my opinion. The seller says that he can take offers, but since his wanted price is so high, I do not want to offer him peanuts.
I appreciate any information that I can find regarding this topic - and since I believe I have some of the correct internals - I will continue the search.
Charles Cole was my best hope, but who knows. Maybe there are other out there that can contribute.

Hi, Rolf.
You might want to ask Mike Rich, as he wrenched for Charley for many years. I know that his focus is engines, not gearboxes, but he might be able to suggest someone who would have more information.
Best of luck.

No worries Rolf, I don't know anything about the TR gearbox other than what I have read on-line. I hope you can find the pieces you need, everything is available somewhere, probably a fe of them sitting in some shed in Lecco, hidden away by a former Guzzi race mechanic.
