I know, not a new topic exactly, but I'm having a heck of a time getting the
clutch to work correctly. I have loosened the lock nut at the gearbox, and
turned the adjustment at the perch most of the way in. I have gone back to
the gearbox and tried to turn the adjustment screw in, but it seems to be 'stuck'
to the lock nut, as they both turn together. I can't get the adjustment screw to
turn independently of the lock nut. I am not able to ride the bike, as I can't get
the bike into gear. Any help (or ideas) would be appreciated. As always, thanks
for any thoughts.

I had trouble adjusting the clutch on my V7II, but, I didn't have to resort to the adjustment on the back of the gearbox.
I think I may have to adjust it again soon and may run out of cable adjustment though.
As regards the adjustment at the back of the gearbox, I suggest that you loosen the locknut enough to not having it touch the gearbox housing and apply heat with a heatgun.
The nut should expand more than the adjusting screw so you should be able to break the locking between the two pieces.
Hope this works for you.
Cheers

You guys with V7 II clutch issues....color me surprised. My V7 II Stone works perfectly out of the box. As did my 2013 Stone. Both from the same dealer.
At any rate, why not take it back to the dealer and have them make it right?

Just coming up to 5,000 miles on my V7 11 Stone and only ever adjusted clutch one full turn at the handle bars. Steve.

Brian — Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Owen — I have those bookmarked, but I know how to do it, it's just that the adjusting screw and nut
are moving together. I need to get them to move independently somehow.
DaSwami — My 'dealer' is 838 miles distant.
Since I want to ride my brand new bike, I'll have to try and figure it out somehow. I'm moving to
Idaho, and there are absolutely zero dealers in the entire state.

True that, depending on where you are going Empire Powersports in Spokane WA has excellent service techs that know Guzzis well. may be less than 800+ miles
Otherwise, I have to go to Seattle
