Global warming. We will all freeze to death.

Three inches of snow this morning, beautiful! Will all be gone by noon or earlier. The huge grass fire area received 3.5 inches. Should help with the fires.

Froggy here, weather to make flat tappets go bad--

The other night we had 1 to 2 inches pre hour for most of the night. Flood warning beeping on TV a lot.
The good side is that on an island of mountains there is nowhere for it to accumulate so it just runs back into the ocean from where it came. The flooding is violent rushing of water down stream beds that can be very dangerous for short periods of time.

Just spoke with a good friend I used to work for and he said April does not look good for weather. He is an off shore, year round, commercial lobster man and seems to never be wrong on the weather. Even the local road commissioners call him when trying to figure out weather or not to run the school buses. He also predicts a snow storm around April 4th. Amazing what he can tell you by just looking up at the sky. Unfortunately he is usually dead on. He used to tell us we had about 20 minutes to finish up on deck before it got nasty out on a flat calm day, and sure enough within 20 minutes you could barely stand up it got so rough. He said he could tell by the little puffy clouds on the horizon, I learned to take him seriously in short order. Lets hope for once he's lost his touch, but I doubt it.

So how's that polar vortex treating you? Cold here, 34 F about noon. It was 68 yesterday and it was nice to get out and shred some asphalt!

Six to eight inches of snow forecast here on Wednesday, rain the day after that, with temperatures fluctuating just above or below freezing all week. Good conditions for Sugar Maples, however, so if you like maple syrup, a sugar bush run to a "Cabane a Sucre" is a good way to start the riding season.

The Polar Vortex that was a player in the past two winters is almost not worth mentioning this year. For 99% of the year it's been where it should be this year, a one,two day drop in is nothing worth talking about.
It was 73F yesterday in the western Chicago suburbs I play in, today we spent in the low to mid 30s! It was snowing on Saturday before the big warm up. Why do we still have post making fun of Global warming when it snows?
Global warming, I hope this is the last time I have to post about it, but I'm sure it won't, means EXTREME weather fluctuations will become more common place all over the planet, sound familiar??? It does not mean that your winter will be a snow/cold free!!!
