Is there a MC museum in Hinton you didn't tell me about??

We are aware of the collection , seems most of them are housed at a Motel just off I 40 . An Aussie traveling cross country two summers back actually found them , although we had been hearing rumors for years . Every so often part of the collection shows up on the Los Angeles CL for sale , but none ever sell , seems the owner is just bragging . Are you aware of the Seaba Station museum just West of Chandler ? There is also a museum in Grove that belongs to a bud . Maybe we should make some plans for this year .

got it. Perhaps we should meet up this weekend at Seaba and have some eats in CHandler or Stroud?
......or next time you're in town, we'll head to Hinton.

Unfortunately this weekend is a no go for me with being gone 4 days next weekend . However June is not that far off . We could maybe get in a Grove trip in May , either from Luap's "new" deal if that goes down , or we could spend an evening on Grand Lake . Float this by Mike D and whoever else . Oh hell , did we just start another camp out

This Saturday is Free Landfill Day in T-town...exciting, huh?
But a great way to get rid of some junk that currently decorates the yard!

I've looked at the Hinton bikes.... twice. Couldn't buy any of the larger bikes but I did buy 9 ducati singles that he had there plus about 25 that he had back at his Dad' place in Wis......that was 4-5 years ago...they are long gone now...

Nice collection. I had seen this one about 3 years ago.

Oddly enough there was a different car and motorcycle collection in the little town of Hinton. Had a few Ducatis and a smattering of other Italian , British , Euro , and American stuff . The owner was very private , viewed by invitation only . He seems to have passed , no idea what happened to the collection.

You mean they normally charge you to take stuff to the dump? That's a good way to get washing machines left on the side of the road, huh?

You mean large appliance roadside art isn't popular in North Carolina ? Hell Jim , we decorate old concrete truck drums left along the road to look like space capsules here in Oklahoma

It used to be popular, even though county residents can dump free, because it was too much trouble for some folks to drive a few miles to the dump. Then the scrap prices rose enough that all the piles of appliances off in the woods got picked up and taken to the scrap yards for money, not by county workers, but by individuals wanting extra cash. Now about all we have left is the trash people throw out of car windows. That gets picked up by local inmates periodically. Apparently a lot of people out here in the woods were raised to think that it's OK to throw trash out of cars.
