So i got up this morning to add a couple nee additions that i've aquired for my birthday.
First one to go on was the Mistral crossover, which is a bit longer than the stock, so gave me the clearence between the headers and the side stand bolt that I wanted. Not sure whether it adds anything else to the experience as I haven't gotten a chance to riflde it yet.
Second was the K&N air filter. To my surprise (since i've seen in multiple threads that the problem has disappeared with the single throttle body Guzzis) i've found that oil gets into the airbox. Not much, but could tell based on shiny walls and swipe of a finger. The fstock filter had a yellowish color to it as well. Smells like oil. So based on my limited knowledge, i'm assuming they've overfilled the engine, but would like to ask a knowledgable community here whether I should be worried or not...
I am going to the dealer sometime this month for inspection, but doubt i'd get any proper response from them in this regard.
Thank you all!

Do the installs before the service. Make sure you have them check for the latest map in the ECU, everything should be fine. As far as the oil in airbox thing, just check that the oil is not too full on the stick. If it's 1/16"-1/8" below the upper mark, it's fine, don't top up.

Also check to make sure the vent hoses on the valve covers are not pinched. When I 1st got my V7R it would pump oil into the air box (several ounces per ride) found the right side valve cover vent hose was pinched. A little reconfiguring of the hose layout and the air box has been oil free ever since.

If you experience stuttering/stumbling - feels like trouble with the air/fuel mixture - pull the filter out & wipe up the oil in the bottom of the airbox with a paper towel or 2. If that does't fix it, the oil & dust may have got to the throttle body which will need cleaning out. I've gone back to the paper filter on my 2014 Special because it's easier to see the dust & oil vapour.
