Title: Fork legs for experts: 1200 sport vs norge

Got a question for the experts here:
Are the lower fork legs of a 1200 sport and a Norge interchangeable?

Same fairly ordinary fork. I'd think so.

A bit too early in the morning, but I think I recall when I first joined the WG forum in 2009, there were a few Norge riders who swapped out the entire fork tube (stanchion and the bottom slider as one unit.)  I think the swap eliminated what they perceived as a somewhat mushy front end on the Norge.  Know for fact that the 1200 Sport has the compression damping screw on one leg, and the rebound damping screw on the other, located on top of the fork tube caps, under the eagle cosmetic cap covers.  I don't think the Norge forks have either adjustment, but may have a preload adjustment.  The 1200 Sport has no fork preload adjustment.
