Title: SP 1000 fairing mount ?
Post by: arveno on April 24, 2016, 03:23:56 PM
Hi all,
Does anyone have a picture or a print that shows how the fairing is mounted on a SP 1000 ?

I tried to search but did not find anything helpful.

thanks

Do you have an SP with an un-mounted fairing or are you lacking the brackets? And, do you need just the main fairing of the lower bits that surround the cylinder heads?

Let me know if the Parts Manual diagram(s) would help. EDIT 7:29 PM: I can send you a copy by email or a complete CD of all SP 1000 manuals and documentation. Send me a PM with your email address or your full name and mailing address.

If I was sufficiently motivated I could also go out to the garage, move a bunch of stuff around, and take a few pictures if you are looking for specific areas.

Or, let me know if a combination of the above works for you.

Sorry, I looked back through all my pictures of my old SP and didn't find what you need. Maybe the parts manual would be a clue?

#18 & #19 are the upper mounts, #11 is the lower mount. The bottom of 18 & 19 attach to the top triple, the upper plate of them bolts to the fairing body. #11 is just an "L" shaped piece that bolts to the front of the lower triple clamp, the fairing bolts to it from below.
