Title: Headlight on Lemans 1

Does anyone know what is involved in changing a protruding headlight on a LM1 to a flush mounted one?

IIRC, you'd need a complete European headlight assembly.

Alternatively, you could extend the forked ends of the brackets ( the part that tucks into the headlight bolts) You will also have to space the underneath bracket( the one that bolts to the lower triple clamp) the same amount. It will move the fairing up a bit as well as provide a bit more clearance for the throttle cables routing. I added  about  19mm to  to the brackets by TIG welding some metal  to the forked ends so the headlamp sticks out about 50% less than the US version. Brackets are easily available if you want to go back to stock or use to modify  and save your originals
