Hi, I just bought a v7 ii and noticed an o2 sensor in one of the pipes, I guess this means that it has a cat, which iI guess is built into the actual silencers? Can't be anywhere else really.
I have a pair of Mistral pipes form. 2012/13 v7 Classic that I was hoping to fit, can I use them?
I'm also assuming. The earlier v7 Classic didn't have a cat and that the emissions were managed by the fuel injection?
Thanks

The V7 Classic has cats, but only a single O2 sensor, in the crossover. The V7-II has two O2 sensors, one in each header.
The Mistral's may or may not have cats. Regardless, the O2 sensor is what the FI uses to control the emissions in both.

Ok, I don't remember there being an 02 sensor on my Classic, but okay. I may check with the people I bought them from.
If they don't have cats, they worked fine on the classic so should be fine on the v7 ii.
Cheers

Assuming they fit up, I don't see why you couldn't use them. The O2 sensors are upstream of the cat regardless. The biggest gain will probably be weight savings. How much I don't know. Probably no performance gains. I can tell you that the Agos on my 1400 Eldo shed 28 pounds of weight from the bike.

Chrisk,
I have an earlier Classic. There was a single O2 sensor and I think cat converters were supposed to be housed in the muffler.
Either way, I see no problem in the new pipes. Do try to keep the O2 sensor, as it does work to trim the air fuel mix.
