Title: Hey Kev M
Post by: kingoffleece on May 04, 2016, 06:57:48 PM
Checked out that new Sportster today while at the dealership checking seat cover fitments for a few Big Twins.
What a NICE motorcycle they built.  I'd love to add a Sporty to the fleet again-just might have to wait a bit and get a low mile trade in.

It really is natural that modern Sportsters would ring well with the Guzzi crowd... were it not for the image which Harley has so very deliberately crafted and supported over the years to cover for flawed designs and greater flaws in pricing.

Now, with a damn fine line of vehicles - they find themselves, not coincidentally, competing with "anti-Harleys" though they be of a distinct Harley bent.

Or, I want one of those bikes but I don't want that bike. This being the inverse point of view of the people who kept that ailing and poorly run company alive... Well, and Ronald Reagan.
