Title: Fuel Pump Hoses and Filters Splitting
Post by: leafman60 on May 08, 2016, 07:26:07 AM
Hey guys, we have a new guy who has bought a very low-mileage Nevada Classic.  Remember Mr. N?

I've informed him of the fuel hose and filter problems from ethanol in the tank.  Can some of you chime in and help him with pictures and recommended sources for the correct replacement parts? I'm not sure that OEM replacement parts will be any different from the originals installed at the factory.

I am leery of what his dealer mechanic will know about this and the fix they will offer him.

Check his thread here-

Ok, NAPA gold 3032 seems to be the ticket. Cheap. Use *fuel injection* hose.. not cheap. Make sure the clamps have rolled edges. That's about it.

Chuck, would you post this on his Nevada thread?

If the Nevada has the plastic fuel line it is probably best to get the correct oetiker clamps and pliers or just take the assy to someone who has the tools for that. The fully submersible hose is terribly expensive and very stiff. There is a thread about those parts or I will look it up and post that info later if needed.

Fuel injection "FULLY SUBMERSIBLE" hose.   This works...
