Title: Check engine questions
Post by: robdrobd on May 10, 2016, 05:17:11 PM
My bike didn't start on the first push today and that caused the check engine light to come on. Is this normal?
Once I got it started, the light went off.

read the codes and see what the problem was.  It could have been many things.

What bike ? Are modern Guzzis like other newer vehicles where if you leave the key on with the bike not running the idiot lights all come on ?

A buddy off mine just bought a used Mercedes Benz. Within two days the check engine light came on. He called the dealer and asked what should be done. They told him to open the hood and check the engine,  if it's still in there, close the hood and drive it.
