Yup, Nicky won his 1st WSBK race in the wet @ Malaysia. :thumb: He said his dad Earl(69) wasn't feeling good and that he'd try to win 1 for him.
More MA races on this afternoon @ Virginia Raceway.

it took rain for Nicky's skill to come through since his Honda is the weakest factory bike in the field.

The MotoAmerica(MA) 600 & Superbike races were awesome both yesterday and today !!! 5 bikes in each race going at it the whole time for making the podium. No shortage of competition, that's for sure. Very few crashes. :thumb:
Some euro riders over here now challenging our own. Aprilia has 1 superbike racing over here and announced today that next year they will have 2 and 1 of their riders will be an American.

It was good seeing Herrin and Easlick doing burnouts together after the race rather than try to kill each other too.
I wonder if Danny has a shot at the Aprilia Superbike ride next season?

Aprilia is racing thru HSBK. Houston Super Bike, and this year they are in the Super Stock class,(Super Bike and Super Stock in the same field) Corti is their rider and he is often in the top 5 of the Super Bikes. Next year HSBK will field 2 Super Bikes and compete for top honors with one of their riders being an American. I think they will try to retain the services of Claudio Corti.

That's what they said on the broadcast. That's why I wondered if Danny might have a chance at the ride? Just as a side note, Brookside (in Tulsa, Danny's hometown) is a Guzzi-Aprilia (& Triumph) store.
Of course, the Aprilia isn't a WSBK contender. Maybe it won't be a top ride?

On the WSBK level Aprilia has 2 bikes. Salvadori and De Angeles. One of them is in the top 10 of the championship. I really think that Aprilia main push will come at the MotoGP level next year.
