2013 V7. Transmission has gotten smoother... Or I've just gotten used to it. The warm up time is only a minute or two and its ready to go- time to put on helmet, slide my glasses on, think about any calls I should make before zipping up the cell phone, and time to admire the V7s aesthetic curves.
The motor likes to keep revs at about 4000 or more early in the ride and as it continues to warm. Not once has the V7 stalled at a light or failed to idle due to short warmup times. In fact , the only issue it's ever had was a poor contact on the battery terminals. Easily addressed.
The Guzzi inspires confidence. The feel ... It feels like a 'real' motorcycle, sounds like one too. After nearly a year of ownership, I have no buyer remorse, no regret or 'wishing I had got .... Bigger, better on paper, faster, etc'.
The V7 simply gets better. It is satisfying and gratifying, its just plain friendly. And It just suits me.
I think we'll be together a long time.

:thumb: Yup, I'm quite happy with mine.
Haven't thought about the transmission in uhh, years... but yeah, now that you mention it, shifting is smooth and predictable.
No complaints, lots of things to be happy about!

Yes indeed.
2012 V7R, 15,000 miles, hell of a lot of fun on Wednesday just blowing around Houston.

This is a good thread - but not much discussion...
Great to hear about people being happy with the V7s. My wife has been hinting that she might learn to ride if I got a Triumph. I keep trying to get her interested in a V7.
My Scura, which I bought basically new about a year and a half ago, also "just keeps gettin better." (well, except for that single plate clutch thing and that bubbling engine paint thing...) but those are not relevant to the new bikes.
Be Guzzi evangelist. Put a sticker on your car or truck. I did.

Don't bother. A woman's heart wants what it wants.
As much as Jenn reluctantly said she liked the V7 Café Classic, she had been eyeing up a Ducati for years.
When it came time to pull the trigger there was no use even talking about a V7 for her.
She's loved that Ducati (I think more than her BMW or her 2 Harleys) for the 5 years since.

Here's another one!

Aside: this month's Motorcyclist magazine has a column on women's riding groups, and the related photo shows a really nice looking V7 owned by one of the members. I assume by Ducati you mean a Monster? I know a couple of women who really enjoyed theirs (but have since sold them).

Folks, there's gotta be a song in there! Perhaps the forum songwriters and storytellers might make something from it?

Yeah, but the main point not being Ducati, but a "woman's heart wants what it wants and it's no use trying to talk them into something else" or something like that...

Old white trucks with Moto Guzzi stickers. That's gotta be a small club... proud to be a member.

Curious to see what Kevdog or Sliphorn could do with this . Is a French Horn suitable for the
blues ????

Didn't the Beatles use a French horn on some of their albums?

Yep , along with strings . Buddy Holly kind of pioneered the use of orchestral instrumentation in R&R .

Oh yeah! Now we're talking :-)
I could be a rambler, been riding her a while
Twist that throttle, see that needle on the dial
I don't dig bikes that don't make me smile
I love my Guzzi, 'cause she's got style
I'm a blacktop flyer!
