Title: Griso rr turn signals
Post by: Red Dog on May 24, 2016, 09:57:15 AM
The Griso came with a license plate frame that had LED turn signals built in.  I got stopped for: Failure to use Turn Signals.

The cops are real hard on sport bikes around here & I really don't blame them.
We have a load of University students that are total idiots, nuff said.

I knew the cop & he said fix it because it really was not working at all.  When I got home & pulled the seat the resistor was getting "burn yer hand" hot.

I pulled it all off & trashed it.  I thought I was going to be able to use a Digital volt meter to determine left side & right side flasher wires so I could put on a set of regular turn signals but I can't get any signals from any of the wires.

I have tried to find a wiring diagram for a 2013 SE but no luck.

Anybody have a diagram or a picture of the harness showing which wire does what so I can get it fixed?

Thanks.

PS: Gonna post this on Griso Ghetto also.

You can download the entire service manual for free.  It should be in there.
I hate those tiny turn signals.  I can't tell you how many times I've been on a group ride and not seen the guy in front of me signal and I'm looking for it.  Cars are oblivious to them.

I'm guessing there's a standard wire colour for each of the lights

It's either 15 the Left turn indicator
or
17 the other Left turn indicator LOL

Hey Thanks all.

I think we can figure it out now.

Since the signal is coming out of the dash, not an old fashioned flasher you probably won't be able to Ohm it out but you should see Voltage pulses on the wire reference to chassis
