The Guzzi family’s second son, Carlo Ulisse Daniele Guzzi, was born on 4 June 1889, after his older brother Giuseppe and followed by younger sisters Mary and Fanny.

One of Carlo's last contributions to our marque was to encourage Carcano to develop the police/military competition model as a V-twin, back in 1963!

"Carlo Guzzi proposed the 90-degree V-twin and he encouraged me to realize the project," said Carcano (G. Fields, Moto Guzzi Big Twins).
