Title: I've got an 84' Guzzi and we call it a woody.

Hope some people got the reference. Decided to go wood, red oak with rosewood stain, for the side covers and when I start the new tank the sides will have the same. Wish I had thought of this before, might have had the tank done before the Kansas rally.

You might start an arms race - the next fellow could go for redwood, or dashboard burl from a Rolls Royce.

I don't think the rally is going to live up to the rest of the lyrics, though   :evil:

I almost made a dash from wood.  Have thought about side covers.  I have a full wood shop and am a little surprised how few have thought to use wood.  Pics afterward please.

Definitely. Hope this new tank build comes out as nice as it looks in my head.
