Title: 1100 sport rear wheel hub
Post by: Rosso Woody on June 02, 2016, 06:09:42 AM
I am stripping down the rear wheel to paint and wanted some guidance on removing the inner hub where it seems the cush drive is?

On the inside, where hub is, there are 6mm bolts that hold a plate in place. Take them out, pry out plate, then a pad ring, then lift the cush drive plate & rubbers. Now the hub w/wheel bearings is exposed. If it is dry, you may need to beat it out.

Yes I am down to the plate with the gear but was hard to get out so did not want to start prying on it. Thought it might be pressed in!

Flip it over and tap w/rubber mallet, it should move. You may have to wiggle it out gently w/o prying. Not much room to pry it out, no it's not pressed in.

I have one to do myself, for my LM3. Powder coating it black, came off a Centauro.
