Hello All:
I am in the process of changing out the fuel filter in the tank of my B1100.
I bought a filter from, MG Cycle, Harpers, or MPH, I don't remember, it's been awhile...😕.
I don't know if fuel filters are directional, as to flow. Fuel in this end , fuel out this end.
The only markings are 3 embossed dots on one of the filter.
Also it came with 2 hose clamps, not the cheapo hardware store type, they have a hex head and are threaded through 2 "ears". What are your thoughts on these ??
As always that nose in advance...

The filters are directional, I'm surprised it is not clearly marked. Someone here may have experienced one of these and be able to solve that.
I wondered if your fuel line is rubber or the very thin plastic? Those clamps are great for the rubber lines but the plastic one is easily damaged by that type of clamp. If you need info on the Oetiker clamps that crimp onto the plastic fuel line I would be glad to look up the NAPA number for you or just drop some in the mail if you can't get them.

Looking at your old one it appears the filter element is closed at the clear end. I would guess that would be the inlet so crap could have more room to settle. So if that theory is correct your new one may be set up the same way. If you can see further into one side than the other that would be the outlet. Just Guessing here. Mike

Look at the ends of the new filter. I just installed the same one and it had the word "IN" etched on one end, or was it "OUT" on the other? Either way it was hard as hell to see. When I finally did, I drew an arrow with a sharpie to remind me.
