Hey gents,
I noticed this on my bike the other day. I think the breather valve is leaking. Took it in for the dealer to check out but apparently it may take more than a week for them to get back to me. *sigh* What do y'all do if your still-under-warranty bike has a problem that is easily addressed? Do you fix it or take it into the dealer (and wait forever to get it back)?
All the best,
CG

Ride it. Seriously.
That's just some mist from the transmission vent.
I would check the level of the transmission oil. It may be over-full.
Then, I would ride.
No, I wouldn't waste my valuable time screwing with a dealer over something like this on MY bike.
No, I would not take my bike to a dealer who tells me there is a one-week wait time to look at something this simple.
Ride it.

On the older SB's we would put a barbed fitting there and a hose going up w/pcv valve on the end under the tank. Then it goes up a hose and doesn't spew out.

Carry a rag to wipe it off if it bothers you that much.

Gearbox is probably over filled. The smallblock six speeds are reluctant to drain as I found out when I did the first service on Craig's bike. For whatever reason I didn't get all the oil out and because there is no level plug I simply added 1/2 a litre of new oil. It ended up with far too much in and spewed it out of the vent with considerable vigour!
Drain it overnight with the filler cap off and remove the gauze filter from under the drain plug. In the morning reinstall the filter and drain plug, fill with an accurately measured 500ml of gear oil, reinstall filler plug, go ride.

THIS.............has a 99.99999% probability of causing your particular problem. Someone else posted the exact problem on this board a couple of weeks ago...............a nd Pete works on Guzzis every day for a living so he knows what he's talking about.
