Title: Tourmaster Lawndale Jacket Closeout NGC
Post by: Moto Fugazzi on June 15, 2016, 08:22:26 PM
I just received mine, and it's quite a bargain at $185.00. I typically wear a Medium, and this medium is a bit snug in the shoulders, but hopefully it will stretch out a bit.
Plenty of outside pockets, but only 1 inside pocket. This also doesn't come with armor, but it does have pockets for them.

No relation to the seller, but I have purchased a few items from them in the past. If you're looking for a good 3/4 length leather jacket, here you go! http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street/closeouts/leather_suits_jackets_and_pants/tour_master/lawndale_jacket.html

That looks like a great buy.

How does it look and feel?  Good quality or el cheapo?

Even the regular $300 price is very inexpensive for quality leather.

To me, it looks and feels good...the wife really likes it. I don't have much experience with leather jackets, and the other one I have is an official  HD jacket (20 yr. old) from my dad. The HD jacket is much thicker, so I'd say this jacket is a lightweight as far as leathers go.
Hope this helps.

I can vouch for the seller.  I've bought many things from them.

It's the old New Enough seller.  I've bought from them too. No problems.

I have a relatively new Guzzi (Dainese) 3/4 leather so I don't need it but I am passing this along to others.

Bought one of these jackets, and am pretty pleased with it. I like the texture and weight of the leather. These are made in Pakistan, and are thus likely water buffalo hides, which are significantly different than bison or cow hides.

I picked one up, it is already on its way back to New Enough...I thought the leather weight was too light, no two-way main zipper, no armor (yes, they mentioned that in their ad) and even at $185 I now think they overcharged for it.  Not sure what sort of buffalo that leather came from, perhaps frog buffalo or squirrel buffalo.  The $185 was certainly better than the original $300, but I can see why they are discontinuing that one...better to find a used Hein Gericke Dakar all leather jacket from 25 years back, they are out there and can be reasonably priced.

I was thinking that.  Even the full $300 is cheap for a quality leather coat.

Usually, you get what you pay for.

Here's some decent information I came across about water buffalo leather and cow leather.
