I chased some friends around the alphabet roads of SW Wisconsin this afternoon. The Norge was a pleasure out on the road.
When I got back I noticed all the bolts for the lower saddlebag brackets had vibrated off during the ride leaving the lower brackets dangling. I am lucky I didn't lose both bags.
I am trying to figure out what goes into this hole? It's the RH Rear Panel 883978. Luigi must have hit the wine tapper a little too hard at lunch that day.

^ That is surprising and, I imagine, very frustrating. I have no idea, but I would be a bit put out. I'd get on the horn to Dave at Moto International and have him tell you what goes in that hole...

Jeff, The Norge and all other Guzzis are well known for parts falling off. It's part of the charisma! That's why everyone lays in bottles of Loctite.
-
Dave,
it attaches to one of the bolts that hold the lower side case bracket.

Dave, grab some metric Allen wrenches, Loctite, and adult beverage and lock all those beautiful fastners in place...rite of passage...
-
Thanks for the picture Nick! Looks like the flange bolt has a washer also.

Those guys might be cool but they'll never be "Dave Swanson on a Norge" cool.
-
I mean wow! That Norge is in another whole upper stratosphere class of good looks compared to the rest of the bikes in those pictures.

John, I must agree there!

The photos don't capture the way that paint sparkles in the sunlight!
Today's ride was the perfect shakedown ride; with many more to come.
Thanks for coming along! :thumb:

Let the "go fast" crowd take get the eye of the police while your in the rocking chair watching the country side go by in there wake.
-
Those guys may have more hp on the straights, but your Norge will hang tough in the twisties.
-
I'd take that Norge over any one of those "mid life crisis" crotch rockets any day!
-
Make sure you get the metric loc-tight

Could be a farmer with an overloaded hay wagon right around the bend. Those are some great roads, you don't want or need to be in a hurry.
Man, that is a great looking bike.

You're right. I have been riding the alphabet roads for a long time. You just never know. And now that I am retired I want to collect as many pension checks as possible.
I had to look all over town but found metric Loctite
Thanks for the compliments on the bike. It's a keeper.
