Title: Any benefit of a Deep Sump on the 1100 Broad Sump Engine?
Post by: Old Jock on June 21, 2016, 10:06:54 AM
Also asking the same question on Guzzitech

As a few of you know I'm rebuilding a Magni but the lump is the Sport 1100i engine

So I wondered if there was any benefit on installing a deep sum on the broad sump engine............. ................if so where can you get them because I've not seen any so far

Already have Prof Roper's Sump plate in, but it just set me to wondering

I've never seen one.  I think the broad sump was the answer to the deep sump of the previous bikes.

What you do need is a Roper Sloppage sheet.

Thanks Rocker

Interested if others chime in.

Roper sheet is already in

What you have said is what I was sorta thinking but had no real proof.............. ..........possibly except that deep sumps do not seem to exist for these engines (well none that I've came across anyway)

Cheers

Only thing you'll add is the ability to rip the sump off on potholed roads or if you gutter jump.
