Going by that I would guess my T-3 is now worth about $15,000. I would take $14,500. Appears to maybe be another "I have been trying to sell it Honey but no takers so far."

The guy probably inherented it and doesn't know the value.

Makes sense. Might explain his apparent belief that the seat and mufflers are original.

He does say "or best offer" in the ad, and there are some good points to the bike, based on looking at the photos. So....

I'm 40 miles away from it, and if someone gets the ball rolling with the guy (there's a phone number) and decides a mutually-acceptable price might be in reach, I can ride up to look at it.

I'd say $4000 or less.

[EDIT: I removed an earlier paragraph speculating about the cylinders. So far as I can tell they may both be new, as he says. Why there is a polished valve cover (and new-seeming intake manifold) on the left side, but not the right, is probably not important.]

I would agree...but no more than $4,000 tops - - $3,500 would be better!

"90% mint"

Is that even a thing? Isn't it mint, or otherwise?

Never heard of "90% mint" - - that's a new one on me!  My experience is that some people are really  funny.... especially when it comes to their own perception of condition of a vehicle.

I always liked "Barn Fresh"  - - which often really means: "Needs total nut & bolt restoration..."

It's also being misrepresented:

"Only the fairing is an add-on.... Every other part is exactly as it was sold...."

The seat is the G5/Convert item, not the slimmer T3, and mufflers are Valteks. I would worry that the hard-to-find deep chrome rim on the headlight is missing.

BTW, weren't Ts only built in 74 & 75?

I've seen the T-3 Interceptor badge in adds, and books but never on an actual guzzi. I'd like to know the story on that too.

First T-5 I have seen in a long long while. It is very sharp.
But the T-5 is not Guzzi's "cafe sport bike" for 1984 as the owner claims. I also do not think of it as "evolved from the T-3. I think this was the beginning of the square head T-5......... Mille to Strada era.   It is a drop dead look alike for my red 90 Mille sans red frame with a faring and a 16" front tire (I think that is 16"). Never ever thought of a stock Mille as a cafe sport bike. It might be worth $4400. Anybody think so? You do not see many T-5s around.

That is a very nice T-5. But it doesn't appear that the seller has grasped the concept of "auction". No self respecting Red Suspender Snapper is gonna start bidding at 4400 for a 4000 dollar bike. Start low and let the excitement build!

BOTH wheels on theT5 were 16".
Harper's had a used one a while back. IIRC it had a chair on it, too.
