That is a Bassa, converted to floorboards. so has the 15m CPU. tubeless rims. that backrest is unobtanium too, would be a great buy!
something looks wrong about the drivers seat tho..

If it wasn't 2,000 miles away I'd certainly try to contact the seller and go have a look.

Could be true, I basically stole my Jackal with 8000 miles after it languished on cl for 2000 obo for months.  Chicagoland just doesn't love the goose like it should  :(

fotoguzzi: out of curiosity, how can you tell it is a converted Bassa? It looks very similar to mine except blue not red. Thanks!

the side cover says so,, and those wheel barrow handlebars only came on the Bassa. I have seen one in that color.

I assumed all the California series had stainless pipes and silencers, but those look very "chromey" compared to my Jackal's patina

It's a Bassa with floorboards added.

Fenders, side covers, seat are different from EV.  And Bassa was factory with pegs.

The Blue/Silver in 99 and 00 was Bassa only.

Damn.  I've never seen that color before.  Very nice and steal even, if it's for real and bike runs.

I had one, but the seating position was murder for me.  Nice bike, though.

I dunno, I picked up and transported a '99 EV for a friend 3 weeks ago that he bought on Ebay for $2100. It had spotless Givi bags and racks,  Corbin seat, barn door shield, new battery, nearly new Metzelers, a beautiful bike. Some fantastic deals can be found out there on late model Calis, if you're patient, and lucky...

WOW. Is that all the $$$ those things are going for????

I guess if I had to ask that that little for my EV (it's listed in the swap meet ) I may as well keep it and ride it into the ground.
Depreciation hurts.

Love that my '03 is a "late model Cali" at 13 years and 85k.  Only in the Guzzi world :)

Called the guy this AM, said he would call right back. No call back.
Called again this evening, talked to him, story is he took it as partial trade on some work.  Seemed like he wanted to get off phone.  Said he would text address and more pics.  No text.  Feels kinda dodgy.

This bike was tempting me too, but I figured that since others had their irons in the fire, I'd just sit it out and wait.   Looks like what Dusty had posted earlier is turning out to be true - I'm having trouble believing this.  Would be really careful.

So has anyone successfully contacted the seller ? I would love to be proved wrong and have a board member buy this bike .

I was in touch with this guy and was going to go out last Saturday to probably pick up the bike (my '97 Cali just got totaled last week, I'll put up pics in another thread). He was going to text me the address but called back and said the title wasn't available. Said it was at his mechanic's and he was out of town for the long weekend (4th of July) but insisted I could take the current registration and a picture of the license. I told him I wasn't driving out from Detroit w/o a title and would call him back. Just gave him a ring and left a message, might go out and take a look this weekend. Seems a bit sketchy but if he hands me a clear VIN matching title and the bike runs okay I'll do the deal.

I like that color a lot and I'm pretty bummed about my '97 (also bought for cheap money with 8000 miles) getting wrecked.

Let's take an objective look at this deal . $1500.00 for a bike worth at least another grand , and it hasn't sold yet , hmm , that added to at least 2 WG members that have tried to contact the seller and have gotten the run around . Something ain't right here fellas .
