Title: Are my decals on wrong? or was this a Friday build?

Did the pin strips and emblems on my saddlebags today.  (how do they look?) I did the right side first then moved to the left side.  Take a close look at the  side cover decals.  The same exact decal is on both sides.  Shouldn't the left side decal be different?

I have have been working on this bike since August 2011 and never noticed this before.

There's only one battery cover decal - no left or right.

Well I guess it's good news that my decals are right.  Just think it's odd they would make different decals for the tank sides but not the battery box.  Oh well.  Guess I'll have to live with it  :bike-037:

The eagles on my '96 Cali tank are not both facing forward.  :undecided:

From LM III in 1982 through model year 1996, left side eagles all face rearward.

They only used one large eagle decal for the tanks during that time.  The eagle faces to the viewer's right, as in all corporate signage...

How else could they be made? Eldorado spelled backwards? The V at the end of Eldorado/up against the grill area on the right side?  :wink: :grin:

Supposedly the chickens are to face forward but that would be too much thinking for Guido. :tongue:
