Title: reliant robin rear axle rear end for trikes and guzzi
Post by: gearman on July 03, 2016, 02:44:58 PM
I missed out on some rear axles that were on ebay in the uk. Only $150 for two with wheels. Many brits use them to make trikes. The problem I had was the seller did not want to ship them. Understandable.Any ideas of how I could get these shipped to the US if I find one again.I am working on a leaning trike Guzzi.

There's an outfit in Seattle called "leaning trike Co."? that will convert your Guzzi for $10K.  Jay Leno had a U tube visit on them recently.  Right now they mostly do Harley conversions.

Yes, I saw that. That is a front wheel system and you still lean the whole bike. My idea is a rear leaner ala the Honda Gyro. Much more difficult.I actually bought two gyros  to learn from.Do we have any Brit members?

Good luck with tracking one down GM - it might be tricky

Reliant ceased trading in about 2002 and their cars weren't too common on the roads then

You'll probably have to find one in a scrappy or maybe a call to the owners club may bear fruit ( http://www.reliantownersclub.co.uk/ ) if E-bay doesn't come up trumps

PS
If you'd put this up 12 months ago a colleague of mine had a complete car in his back garden he was trying to get rid of. Isn't that always the way
