You know I'd love to bomb around in something like this...at least it would be different than the rolling coffee bean shape on everyone's modern car...

Chuck, if you get the wagon, leave it as-is.  Don't paint it.

We will dub you Prince Valiant.

You'd never worry about where you park or dings on the doors.

A friend of mine in high school drove an old PoS to football games. Claimed he could get out of the parking lot faster than anyone after the games as anyone with a nice car backed off and let him through. Nothing to lose.

And the passenger can run along, like the Flintstones, for extra acceleration

When I was in HS my father had a Nash Rambler wagon W/straight 6 and 3 on the column.  He didn't like to shift so started from a stop in 2nd gear.  Then blamed me when the clutch went out.   :thewife:

I love the line "This has been a California car all its life" when applied to a car being sold in northwest Arkansas...

When I was in H school I had a friend with a Dart with a 4 speed and a slant six that would take a small block chevy in the quarter,  stock for stock.
Great engine.
Inline sixes are balanced in all three orders so harmonics are minimal, that is why V12 aircraft work so well and with blade and fork rods no shaking.
I thinkl that Guzzi has a heavy flywheel because of harmonics that showed up during design/test.

I had several slant 6 engines in various vehicles. I never had one that would come close to any V8 from any maker. They got decent mileage.
