Title: Visited Mark today (GC)
Post by: Chuck in Indiana on July 09, 2016, 05:22:47 PM
At Moto Guzzi Classics. Irrepressible, as usual. :) (emoticons on chrome not working again for whatever reason.) Here he is in his immaculate shop, (!) no doubt telling someone how to fix their Guzzi for free. Good news.. 3 weeks to go on his Hep C treatments and he's apparently cured. :) :)
Notice the dual disc loop front end carefully stored. I spent three days one xmas season cleaning up and organizing so he could have a party. He said it was a year before he could find anything.. :) He really *can* just reach into a pile and pull out the part you are looking for.

He's been doing some Quacker work, too. Nice.

Another of the "most interesting characters" you see on a Guzzi.

Interesting Loop powered bike up on the lift behind him in the first photo. Plunger rear, girder front, open drive shaft. Second photo you can see it again - supercharger? up between the cylinders? WTF?  :azn:

Thanks for the update Chuck. I need to drop in and say hello to Mark.  At one time I lived in Long Beach and I would get over to his shop monthly.  Since moving 400-miles north 20-years ago I've probably stopped by once. Shame on me. Next time I'm down that way I will make it a point to drop in.

Well, I haven't been there since '02 when I moved back to MI from socal so don't feel so bad. Ok, maybe you should still feel bad.

If I tell my son he gets to pay for college this fall that dual disc eldo front end could be mine!  (and a whole lot more   :boozing:)

Do it or he will take it for granite.  Neither I or my 2 sons had anyone pay for their college degrees.  At their point in life you don't owe them a thing other than getting them to the point of graduating from High School.   After that their life is up to them.

What's wrong with the first picture?  The dog food bowl is empty.

Mark looks healthy.  I've spent hours BS'ing with him and just looking around.

That shop is my Guzzi mecca.
